Designed as a cockatoo perched atop a branch, the plumage set with variously-shaped freshwater cultured pearls, accented by round diamonds weighing approximately 3.75 carats, the branch and eyes set with onyx, signed Designed by G. In good overall condition with gentle scratching and wear to the gold, mainly on the reverse. The variously-shaped freshwater cultured pearls have a silvery white body color with soft rose and golden overtones, fair luster and exhibiting noticeably wrinkled skins and minor evidence of cracking, which is typical of this type of pearl. One pearl missing. The diamonds are approximately F-G color, predominantly VS clarity. Some damage and very minor loss to the enamel, mainly on the branch, but not apparent when worn. Signed on the reverse, dimensions of brooch approximately 2 3/4 by 1 1/4 inches. The box is inscribed '1 Cocker 2' and 'Designed by Geoff Rowlandson'.
