Description
- gold
The woven gold scarf-style necklace of Indian inspiration, terminating in fringes composed of polished gold bells, gross weight approximately 140 dwts, length 23 inches, with French assay and partial maker's mark for Georges L'Enfant; late 1930s.
Condition
In very good condition. The necklace is very flexible and well-made. There is no clasp so it is worn by "tying" the necklace into a loose knot. The bells make a soft ringing sound when the necklace is worn. The gold exhibits a nice, warm patina and some very minor scratching is evident under magnification.
