The square-shaped links of scrollwork design centering a butterfly motif set with emeralds and rubies, accented by old mine and old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately .85 carat, internal circumference 7 inches, signed LeBolt, engraved L.J.A. Aug 18 '08; circa 1908.

Condition

In very good condition, considering the age. The mounting composed of bloomed gold, with the rose gold showing throughout the highpoints. Very finely strippled, resulted in a satin finish. The diamonds are approximately H-I color and VS-SI clarity with a few I clarity examples. The cabochon emerald in the body of the butterfly is medium green, moderately included and exhibits a small cavity at its apex. Additional emeralds are a medium green and are of good clarity. Rubies at the eyes are of decorative quality. Fitted with a safety chain, currently detached, and missing the C-clasp as well as the O-ring attachment. The firm of Lebolt & Company was established in 1899 in Chicago and registered its trademark with the U.S. Patent office in 1908.
