The gaspipe link chain suspending a circular charm highlighted with blue plique-à-jour enamel in the form of a pansy, set with four cushion-cut sapphires, the border set with old mine-cut diamonds weighing approximately .50 carat, gross weight approximately 16 dwts, length 19 inches, with French assay mark; circa 1910.

In good condition. The pendant is abraded and scratched on the surface, especially on the reverse where there is a deep groove running the width of the pendant, some discoloration to the gold on the front. The enameling is very well done and vibrant when held to the light. Sapphires are a medium blue color and moderately included, with heavy abrasions to the crowns. One sapphire is of a slightly different cut and with no abrasions, suggesting it is a later replacement. Diamonds are of decorative quality. Engraved on the reverse " A Maria Josephina Su Abueleta". French hallmark and possible partial maker's mark on pendant O-ring. Fitted with a 12 Karat Gold Filled chain.
