The kite-shaped design centering a cushion-cut ruby weighing approximately 1.40 carats, accented by old European and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.25 carats, further decorated with calibré-cut rubies, size 3¾, signed M & Co., illegible numbering; circa 1920.
Condition
In good condition overall. The center ruby is a medium slightly bluish red color and is moderately included. The calibré-cut rubies are of similar quality, most are abraded at the facet junctions and one is significantly chipped, but stable in its mounting. Diamonds are approximately H-I color and VS-SI clarity. Faintly numbered. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 71007 stating that the ruby is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating.
