Suspending two pear-shaped emeralds weighing 8.75 and 8.41 carats, topped by round, pear and marquise-shaped diamonds weighing 6.36 carats, signed Cartier, numbered 729032, with French assay and workshop marks. With signed box.
Condition
In excellent condition. The emeralds are a well-matched, medium-deep very slightly bluish green and lightly included. The diamonds are approximately F-G color, VVS-VS clarity. Not currently fitted with posts, but posts could be added. Rubber pads would also serve to have the clips fit more snuggly. The gem weights stated in the catalogue have been taken from a Cartier bill of sale dated 1998. Invoiced at 1,744,482 Frech Francs or $290,000 in 1998 dollars. Lengths approximately 1 3/4 inches. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 68777 A and B stating that the emeralds are of Zambian origin, clarity enhancement: minor, type: traditional.
