The circular brooch of hinged design, set with baguette, old European and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 8.80 carats, signed Van-Cleef & Arpels Paris, numbered 34172; circa 1930.
Condition
In good condition overall with some minor scratching to the mounting, commensurate with wear. The diamonds are approximately G-I color, VVS-VS clarity. Signed and numbered on the reverse. Diameter approximately 2 inches.

Catalogue Note
The 'Un Cercle' design by Van Cleef & Arpels epitomizes the transformative jewels the maison was creating in the late 1920s and early 1930s to accommodate the new fashions and lifestyle of the modern woman.
