In good condition with light scratching. The mounting's more pronounced nicking and denting inherent to the original design. Possibly plated in a high-karat gold. The medium-light, slightly bluish green emerald heavily included, with surface-reaching feathers and cavities, as well as surface irregularities. The denting and rich color to the gold, along with the emerald's irregularity, underscore the piece's archaic aesthetic. The maker's and assay marks found on the reverse. The original pendant fitting, not referenced in the catalogue, remains and allows for the piece to be worn in two different directions. To open, release the safety clasp and release the top of the hinged element. Measures 2 x 1 3/8 inches.
