The necklace composed of 29 amethyst beads measuring approximately 13.5 to 13.0 mm and 29 jade beads measuring approximately 13.8 to 13.7 mm, spaced by 42 cultured pearls measuring approximately 7.9 to 6.9 mm, with textured gold spacers, length 34½ inches, signed Webb; together with a pair of earclips centered by two jade cabochons measuring approximately 13.4 mm, framed by 22 cultured pearls measuring approximately 6.8 to 6.1 mm, signed David Webb.

Condition

In good condition with light scratching to the gold and minor fraying to the knotted string. The semi-translucent to opaque jade beads and cabochons are medium slightly bluish green with significant white mottling and very minor areas of brown veining, and presenting a high polish. The transparent to semi-transparent medium-light purple amethyst beads are heavily included with most beads presenting a reddish discoloration within the drill holes, though not readily apparent. The ivory white, round to near round cultured pearls with faint to moderate pink, green and purple overtones, moderate blemishing, and good luster. Signed on the clasp and clips. Earclips measure 1 1/4 inches. Please note that the strand has become detached and will be repaired for the purchaser by Sotheby's.
