Description
- gold, diamond
The evening bag of basketweave design, the clasp set with round diamonds weighing approximately 3.20 carats, the interior fitted with a mirror, measuring approximately 7 by 3½ by 1¾ inches; together with a compact decorated with clovers set with round diamonds weighing approximately .60 carat, the interior fitted with a mirror and powder insert; total gross weight approximately 370 dwts.
Condition
In good condition. CLUTCH: The gold shows some scratching commensurate with use especially around the clasp. The diamonds are approximately E-F color, VS clarity. The gold mesh displays some slight denting due to the fineness of the mesh. The clutch opens to display a mirror which is very slightly mottled with some discoloration which does not affect the clarity of the reflection. When opened, the front of the clutch extends out by a hinge for ease of accessing items placed within the compact. The back of the interior of the clutch is lined with plastic to enforce the shape of the clutch. Dimensions are approximately 7 1/4 inch long by 3 1/2 inch from top to bottom by 2 inches deep at the widest part. COMPACT: The gold displays minor scratching and discoloration from age and use. The diamonds are approximately E-F color, VS clarity. The compact opens by pushing a button on one side. There is an intact mirror with a minor scalloped chip in one small part and the mirror retains good reflection. The compact still contains some blush and an application pad which can be easily removed. Consequently some residual powder is found inside the compact. The compact is approximately 3 inches in diameter.
