This early print, appropriately warm in the light areas, is flush-mounted and mounted again. The print has a very faint surface sheen and was possibly waxed or coated. It is in generally excellent condition. When the print is examined closely in raking light, a few tiny deposits of the photographer's original retouching are visible. There is miniscule chipping at the print's edges. This print is flush-mounted onto a sheet of thin board. The secondary mount is lightly age-darkened, and occasional, scattered foxing is visible on the front and reverse. On the reverse of the mount 'GM 81-7-2' is written in an unidentified hand in pencil.
