This print is in generally very good condition. Upon very close examination in raking light, a few scattered pen-point-sized impressions and tiny scratches are visible -- these do not appear to break the emulsion. There is minor chipping along the upper and lower edges. The mount is lightly sunned at the image periphery. The reverse of the mount is lightly soiled and there are some light abrasions at the upper left corner. The collection stamp on the reverse of the mount reads: 'From the collection of MR. AND MRS. SPENCER D. STONE Toledo, Ohio.' Karen Haas's and Rebecca Senf's book, 'Ansel Adams in the Lane Collection,' publishes the most comprehensive list to date of the studio stamps and labels Adams used throughout his career. Our dating of this print is based upon the authors' assessment of the use dates of stamp 11 on the reverse of the mount: 1973 through 1977.
