Catalogue Note
Fabergé reserved some of the firm's finest work, such as this elegant gum pot, for sale in the London branch, including this elegant gum pot. As Franz Birbaum recalled in his memoirs, items intended for sale in London had a "greater simplicity and more restrained ornamentation, with special attention being paid to the technical finish."
