Description

modelled and engraved as a traditional log izba with fretwork, the hinged roof lid with open chimney coin slot, the base later engraved in Russian 'In Memory from Grandmother to nephew Alexander, 18 May 1892', 84 standard
Condition
One plank of the roof split along the join, with evidence of previous repair visible to the underside. The lower edge of the right hand roof pitch with repaired break. A small hairline break to the brick coursing at the back and with one corner repaired. The gilding worn throughout, as visible in the printed catalogue illustration, though not to the silver.
