- diameter of the first 9.2cm, 2 5/8 in.
the first Semen Kuzov, circa 1790, circular, the lid nielloed with Diana, the base with classical architecture, garland borders, French import marks; the second Ivan Kaltikov, circa 1830, of curved pocket-fitting form, the hinged lid with a winged figure, possibly Mercury, the base with classical architecture, 84 standard, Austrian import mark; the third maker's mark VG (Cyrillic), 1822, rectangular, with profile portraits of Emperor Alexander I and his consort Empress Elizabeth within military trophies, 84 standard; the fourth 1792, circular, the lid with a musician, the interior of the lid later engraved 'In memory of Laddie, July 7th, 1936'

Condition
Excellent condition. The niello slightly worn to the underside of the curved box and of the rectangular portrait box. The gilding worn to the larger circular and rectangular portrait boxes.
