- nephrite
raised on a short pedestal foot, the rounded sides carved with scroll-diaper and key-fret bands, set with a single handle surmounted by a scrolled-tab carved with a taotie, the stone with some white mottling and inclusions

Acquired in New York, circa 1970.
Condition
There is a shallow chip to the lower edge of the handle, and a small polished area to the edge of the scrolling end. The outer foot rim also with a small polished section. Minor nicks to the edges and expected fissures to the stone.
