the first a crouching lion grasping a peony sprig in its mouth, the stone of a pale green color highlighted with russet; the second a water pot in the form of a mythical tortoise with the head of a dragon and three legs, the grayish-green stone with opaque white inclusions and russet veins, wood stands (4)
Condition
The lion is in general good condition except for a 0.1 cm tiny chip to the edge of the leaf on its back. The water pot is in overall good condition with a 0.3 cm small bruise to the edge of the shell. The wood stand is in good condition. Both carvings with expected minor nicks to the extremities, and the actual color of the stones is slightly greener than the catalogue illustration.
