Condition
Overall in very good condition. The silver surface presents with a delicate martele finish. The silver surfaces present with a few minor surface scratches, a few minute abrasions consistent with age and gentle handling and very light evidences of tarnishing concentrated to the recessed areas of the design. The enamel has been examined under black lighted and appears original and undisturbed. Lacking a pin on the proper right upper edge, as seen in the catalogue illustration. The reverse retains the original wood backing, with a minor hairline crack radiating from screw at lower proper right corner and a minor area of discoloration at proper right edge. Minor fading and rubbing to the wood at the edges throughout. The glass face is likely later. An elegant and sculptural frame with perfect harmony between interlaced and enamel decoration.
