Condition
Overall in very good condition. This coupe maintains its original glass liner, which is rare, and displays a vibrant and dynamic swirling pattern. The internal gold hued flecks wonderfully compliment the pewter base. The pewter surface with two contrasting textural treatments, the support legs are smooth and the body of the coupe with texture. The surface of the pewter with very light surface scratches and a few scatter abrasions scattered throughout, consistent with age and gentle handling. There is minor evidence of oxidation and some surface dirt concentrated to the recessed areas of the design. The glass liner appears original and in very good condition, with a few faint surface scratches. The glass element with minor airbubbles and particular inclusions inherent in the material, which are not visible when inserted properly into the pewter frame. The insert with tiny vertical surface abrasions to the perimeter of the exterior of the basin of the coupe, this appears inherent in the making. There is also a very minor abrasion to the interior edge, measuring approximate ¼ inch in diameter, and this too is not visible when inserted. A wonderful deeply architectonic form showing nice scale when viewed first hand.
