Overall in good condition. The silver presents with a few minor surface scratches consistent with age and gentle use and minor inherent edge irregularities. The proper right lower pin is loose and there is a slight lifting of the silver adjacent. Two pins are lacking along the edges. The enamel has been examined under black light and appears to be original and undisturbed. The reverse of the frame retains its original velvet fabric with evidence of wear and minor losses. The proper lower foot with a repair and minor loss to wood of the back of the foot, not visible when the frame is installed. The easel support has likely been replaced. The liner of the frame with its original fabric, with light discoloration along the edges and stains, consistent with age and gentle use. The glass front with scattered minute edge chips throughout, none of which are visible once the glass is installed in the frame. When viewed firsthand the bold and saturated enamelwork and modeling of the silver impact a wonderful sense of movement on the work.
