Overall in good condition. The silver presents with a few minor surface scratches, minor evidence of tarnishing to the recessed areas and a minor ding to the proper left upper edge of the frame adjacent to the enamel decoration, consistent with age and gentle use. The proper left edge has separately slightly from the wooden backing adjacent to a lacking fastening pin. The enamel has been examined under black light and appears to be original and undisturbed. The reverse of the frame retains its original velvet fabric with the majority of the velvet has worn away over time. The proper left foot with a minor loss to the wood, not visible when the frame is installed. The reverse maintains the original velvet fabric, although the majority has worn away. The easel support is original and the fabric pull at mid-height of the support is detached. Without glass front. With original fabric liner, with minor discoloration. When viewed firsthand the bold and saturated enamelwork and modeling of the silver impact a wonderful sense of movement on the work.
