Condition
Overall in good condition. The color of the enamel presents with deeper green and violet hues when viewed in person in comparison to the catalogue illustration. The silver with minor surface scratches and minute abrasions to the edges consistent with age and gentle use, and minor tarnishing to the recessed portions of the design. The enamel has been examined under black light and appears original and undisturbed. The top proper left corner with a minute loss to the enamel, only visible upon close inspection. The wooden backing with light wear to the edges as well as areas of discoloration to the reverse, consistent with age and normal use. The glass face is likely not original and with scattered minute edge chips throughout, none of which are visible once the glass is installed in the frame. A charming frame showing beautiful jewel-tone colors in the enamelwork.
