Overall in very good condition. The table presents with a sesntively applied later finish. The surfaces of the table with some light surface scratches, minor abrasions, light surface soiling and minor discolorations, commensurate with age and gentle use. The veneer of the top some minor cracks from dryness as is common with veneer of this age and material. The top tier with one area of professional and sensitively undertaken restoration, with a hairline crack in the veneer radiating the full length of the table top and a minor area of restoration to the veneer to the lower tier. Minor sensitive restoration along the edge of the top, measuring approximately 1 ½ in. in length. The bronze casting is of great quality and in very good condition. The mounts with light rubbing, minor surface scratches and minor surface dirt to the recessed portions of the design. A few screws for the mounts appear to be replaced in a manner that is consistent with the original screws. This desk is a work of sculpture displaying superb scale and form throughout.
