the slender youthful face with elongated eyes, high cheekbones, sharply cut lips gently parted, and ears pierced, drilled with four sets of suspension holes on the reverse; in veined green serpentine.

Teotihuacan masks were made primarily in four types of stone, serpentine, travertine, limestone and listwanite. It is noteworthy that the sources of these stones are not local to Teotihuacan, although other raw material was easily available. (Walsh and Rose 2014)
