Condition

The canvas is not lined. There is the portrait of a man painted on the verso and this could be by the artist as the verso is signed. There is a small repaired tear in the black pigment (approx. 4cm) at the upper right corner. Under UV light, there is a small network of spots of retouching in the black pigment along the upper part of the right edge and a few additional spots of retouching in the green shape towards the left part of the centre of the composition and in the blue pigment along the centre of the lower edge. There are some horizontal lines in places (possibly from a previous folding) with a few associated thin lines of retouching. There are a few scattered tiny paint losses. This work is in fairly good condition.
