Provenance
The H initial is for a member of the Hellmann mayonnaise family. The firm was founded by Richard Hellmann (1876-1971) in 1912, and by 1927 he was selling $15 million a year, with plants throughout the country and homes in New York City, the Catskills, and California.
Condition
all with light signs of use, the large carving fork with dings to handle, the large carving knife and knife sharpener with dents to tips of handles, the other knife handles with no dents/dings;
the wood case with signs of wear, the left hinge & lock for knife frame inside cover slightly dented and lacking hinge pin
