Condition
a few minor splits to the mounts, the glass with a small chip to back of body, gilding rubbed at high spots and on the stopper, the foil-backed glass beads with uneven coloring, otherwise good

This flask replicates a nearly identical version, now in the Victoria & Albert collection, that was made for the 1851 Great Exhibition in London, at which François-Désiré Froment-Meurice was awarded a Council Medal.
