in the Russian style, engraved with folk ornament, the cover applied with the monogram AT between jeweled flower buds, the interior of the lid engraved 'Souvenir d'amitié de St-Pétersbourg le 22 Juin 1894,' complete with vesta compartment with striker plate and tinder compartment (with intact tinder) and spinning mechanism to let out additional cord, the hinged lid of the vesta applied with a gilt crown, probably later, the underside with a finely engraved scene of a winter troika, 84 standard
