the cover painted with a view of a gusli player, possibly Sadko, the borders enameled with decoration of Bilibin's book illustrations of trailing foliage and beetles, all against a stippled gilt ground, the reverse with conforming ornament, the central reserve set with a gilt and enameled Imperial eagle, probably later, 84 standard
