Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Close inspection reveals a few thin and stable tension cracks running intermittently along the extreme outer edges. Extremely close inspection reveals a few very faint and unobtrusive media accretions isolated in places. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.

Executed in 2004, Snow Iris is a wonderful from marc Quinn’s iconic flowers series. Monumental in size and striking in its combination of vivid reds, yellows and purples set against pure white, the present work epitomises the artist’s unique exploration of life and death, decay and its inevitability that has lasted from the outset of his career.
