Condition

The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. There are the inevitable dents, marks and scratches due to age and use. There are some restorations to the veneer as expected. The leather of the writing board is later. One element of the back of the writing board is missing and the writing board cannot stand up. The gilding of the ormolu elements is rubbed and tarnished. The construction is firm. An elegant writing table with nice 'frisage' and marquetry patterns. Graceful design by a famous cabinetmaker.
