- Haut. 89 cm., diam. 38,5 cm. ; Height 35 cm., diameter 15¼in.
with seven candlearms above a gilt-bronze and malachite veneered column ending in three acanthus leaf and lion paw feet, on a shaped base
Condition
The illustration of the catalogue is accurate.
Good overall condition.
There are some inevitable surface scratches and minute stains to the gilding.
The malachite and the ormolu elements are in good condition.
One nozzle of the central bouquet is missing, and one nozzle is associated.
Rare malachite stone and nice chasing.

Catalogue Note
This model is very close to one pair of candelabra produced at the Peterhof Manufactory, now at the Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg (illustrated in V.B. Semyonov, Malachite, Sverdlosk, 1987, p.204).
