The circular frame embellished with lapis lazuli beads and sapphire clusters in a foliate design, to an agate stand, containing a portrait of a young man in grey jacket and striped tie painted on ivory, painting attributed to Corvaja, agate signed A. Ravasco, measuring approximately 140 x 124 x 14mm, fitted sued case applied with sapphire heart motifs.

Condition
Chalcedony base signed A Ravasco. Chalcedony of pale greyish brown, translucent, with areas of typical banding. Sapphires light blue, transparent, with typical inclusions visible under magnification. A number of stones replaced with pastes. Lapis lazuli beads dark blue, opaque, with typical pyrite and calcite inclusions. Glass slightly loose. Picture signed S. Corvaya, dated 1938.A.XVII. Light scratches to surfaces consistent with age. In good condition. Case with additional sapphire and seed pearl embellishments to interior. Seed pearls cream/greyish body colour, with rose and green overtones. Case with tears and fraying to suede.
