The powder compact applied to the front with a cabochon emerald and rubies, within twisted metalwork motifs, opening to reveal a mirror, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered, French assay and maker's marks, measuring approximately 75 x 75 x 5mm; and a lipstick holder, unsigned, French assay and maker's marks, stamped V Cleef and Arpels; gross weight approximately 130 grams.

Each stamped with French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Compact signed Van Cleef & Arpels. Numbered 98060. Maker's mark for Van Cleef & Arpels. Lipstick holder with maker's mark. Emeralds translucent, typical inclusions visible to naked eye, some surface reaching fissures. Rubies well matched in colour, typical inclusions visible under magnification. Some very slight dents to reverse of compact. Some powder residue inside. Each with very slight scratches to metal consistent with age and use. Each close securely. In good condition.
