Claw-set with an oval sapphire, framed by brilliant-cut diamonds to a textured mount, size J, signed Sabbadini, Italian maker's mark, pouch stamped Sabbadini.
Provenance
Accompanied by letter from Sabbadini.
Condition
Accompanied by CISGEM report no. 3615, stating that the sapphire is Ceylon origin, with no indications of heat treatment.
Additionally accompanied by a letter from Sabbadini stating that the sapphire weighs 36.25 carats, and the total diamond weight is 3.24 carats.
Stamped 750 for 18 carat gold. Signed Sabbadini, Made in Italy. Stamped with maker's mark 963 MI. Sapphire light blue, transparent, with typical inclusions visible under magnification, measuring approximately 22.7 x 18.3 x 9.0mm. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 3.00 - 3.50 carats. Light scratches to metal and stone surfaces consistent with wear. In good condition.
