applied with a palm tree within floral sprays and crowned Tablets of the Law, border of chased running foliage, openwork gallery, the dome applied with cartouches, pewter top engraved with scalework, the interior with engraved silver dedication panels, the finials of velvet-backed pewter decorated with stars of David.
Condition
Velvet worn in front, crown finial re soldered, some borders separating with minor damage.

Catalogue Note
Plaques: "This Tik and the Torah in it for the repose of the soul of Esther daughter of Abraham Mussery, may her soul rest in Eden, who departed this world 1911 and may her soul be bound up in the bonds of life." The interior repeats the dedication with for the repose of the soul of the bride Esther 10 Tevet. A later added inscription reads "Nathan son of Hyam Bolisa who passed 2 Tevet 1982"
