with paneled sides, arched ends pierced with a circle and carved with foliage, the top rail carved with Hebrew inscriptions on four baluster feet, all painted in tones of red, blue, and green.
Condition
Considerable paint loss, base boards probably replaced and may at some point had a cover to covert into a trunk.

The top rails are carved with the following Hebrew inscriptions 'Yom tov lipa, the son of aaron ha-cohen from the holy community of Halberstadt, year 1878. May he merit to raise him to a life of Torah, marriage and good deeds.'
