center painted with Judith holding up the head of Holofernes, the border painted with masks and foliage and with Latin inscription "Dominus autem omnipotens nocuit eum: et tradidit eum in manus foeinae et confodit eum, Judith, cap. XVI", the back with date 1873, 'TOUL', and artist's symbol.
