• movement is constructed of brass and steel, with a bellow in animal skin and sliding piston, this allows to imitate the birdsong, particularly the canary or the nightingale • silvered repoussé case with an allegory of music figuring musical instruments, five cherubs playing music, two peacocks and foliage decoration, enamel medallion on the top figuring a blond Naiad near a lake between two rose flowerbeds with mountains in the background, bird-shaped sliding button to activate the bird on the right corner of the front • bird made of brass and steel, covered with coloured feathers, moving its beak, wings and tail and turning about itself
