Catalogue Note

This watch is a perfect example of Patek Philippe’s Avant-Garde style in the early 1950’s. With its stepped flame-shaped lugs, this watch stood out from the more classical round and rectangular shapes of the period and was highly distinctive.

A similar example is illustrated in Huber M. & Banbery A., Patek Philippe Wristwatches, second edition, p. 171.
