The movement is running at time of cataloguing, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Dial in very good condition with light pitting at 1 to 3 o'clock. Some very light surface spotting around 3 o'clock. Movement in very good condition.

Accompanied by a Certificate of Origin dated 4 November 2015 from Charles Frodsham & Co., Ltd., confirming manufacture in 1894. The certificate further notes that the movement was supplied by Preston in 1888.

The present lot is a classic example of Frodsham up/down watch. The movement, supplied in 1888, was originally bওorn as in a hunting𝓰 case and was transferred to the current open face case in 1894, confirmed by Charles Frodsham & Co., Ltd.
