both: gilt full plate movement, visible balance wheel and regulator, engraved mainspring barrel and balance cock • both: white enamel dial, Arabic numerals, inner track for 1/12 hour divisions, single hand, with hairlines • both: polychrome micro mosaics depicting bridges over a river with medieval structures • movements signed Breguet,  

Condition

The movements running at time of cataloguing, however they were not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement. Both cases in overall good condition one with a smooth case band and one with a coin edged case band. One: Case in overall very good condition with a smooth and even application of mosaic tiles which all appear to be present. There are some areas where the case band is rougher against the mosaic tile. Overall the imagery and quality are very attractive with tile colors still vibrant. Dial in overall very good condition with some small surface markings consistent with age. Some small material loss to the black Roman numeral 12. Crystal in overall good condition with light scuffing and scratches throughout. The lower right corner has some cracking between 3 -5. Two: Case in overall very good condition. Mosaic tiles on the case back have some raised areas and some very small tile losses at the bezel. Tiles remain attractive and vibrant. Dial in overall fair condition with one approximately 14 mm crack between 6 and 7. An area of hairline fractures from 12-2 inward to the center of the dial. An indentation on the dial at 3. Blued steel hand with some light oxidation.
