• both: gilt movement, Pouzait type lever escapement, oversized balance • both: white enamel dial, center seconds • the first: silvered metal case, glazed back • the second: gold case, blue enamel to the bezels heightened by translucent red enamel dots
Condition
The movements running at time of cataloguing, however they were not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movements.
Attributed to Friedrich Wilhelm Roetig: Case worn and with loss of plating overall. Dial in good condition with scratches overall, wear from 11 to 3 o'clock from the hands. Movement in good condition with some light scratches and pitting.
Swiss: Case in overall good condition, loss to enamel at 6 o'clock to the front bezel. Dial in good condition with some spotting and scratches, no visible hairlines. Crystal with scuffing and markings throughout. Movement in good condition with scratches, balance wheel with rust.
