Condition
The movement is running at time of cataloguing, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement. case in overall excellent condition. Normal surface wear from daily use. Minute debris visible underneath crystal display back and on 18K gold movement. Case back stamped with material hallmarks and "F.P Journe Octa Calendrier No 301-Q Inv. Fecit." Dial in excellent condition.

The present model, today discontinued, includes the complicated annual retrograde calendar functi𒀰on within the extremely sleek and spaciously challenging Octa case. The calendar adjusts itself instantaneously for the months with 28, 30 and 31 days. For non-leap years the calendar can be adjusted by a single turn of the crown from February 28th to 29th and the calendar automatically moves from Febru𓂃ary 29th to March 1st.
