Condition
The movement is running at time of cataloguing, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement. Perpetual calendar, retrograde and moon phases functions working properly at time of cataloguing. Case in overall excellent condition with light surface scuffing from shop year. Dial and movement in excellent condition.

Catalogue Note
Accompanied by a Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin and an Extract from the Archives confirming sale on October 17, 2008. Together with a leather bi-fold, three booklets, a service box and a presentation box with outer packaging.
Reference 5159 was launched in 2007 as a rediscovery of the legendary Officer's watches. The diameter of the case😼, which features a dust cover that protects the sapphire-crystal back, is 38 mm – 2 mm more than its predecessor, reference 5059. The🌟 dial has been thoroughly reworked, featuring elongated Roman numerals and a guilloché center.
