Condition
The canvas is lined. There is a layer of varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating, however examination under UV light reveals a spot of re-touching towards the upper right corner, and two further spots of re-touching at the upper and lower part of the right edge. There is a circular spot of craquelure, associated with the spot of re-touching at the lower right edge, and a horizontal line across the lower centre of the composition, mainly visible in a raked light. There is some lovely impasto and this work is in overall good condition.
