Condition
The canvas is not lined. There is an uneven layer of varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating, however, UV examination reveals no signs of retouching. There are artist's pinholes in all four corners, two to the centre of the upper edge and a further pinhole at the centre of the lower edge. There are a few isolated losses to the most thickly applied pigments, however the impasto is largely well preserved. This work is in overall very good condition.
