The canvas is not lined. UV examination reveals one tiny spot of retouching to the white pigment in the lower right quadrant. There are tiny accretions and minor water marks within the black element. There is also a very minor linear abrasion within the black element towards the upper left corner of the composition. There are intermittent minor handling marks on the extreme edges of the composition. Otherwise this work is in overall very good condition.
