Condition
The canvas is not lined. UV examination reveals three spots of retouching to the sky above the house at the left of the composition. There are some fine lines of craquelure, predominantly to the white pigment of the clouds and to the thicker pigments. There is some paint loss to the upper and lower left corners, and there are further paint losses to the extreme edges consistent with frame rubbing, the largest of which is approximately 4cm long at the upper right corner. This work is in overall good condition.
