Condition
The canvas is not lined. Examination under UV light reveals an area of retouching to the house at the centre of the left edge which relates to an L-shaped repaired tear to the canvas (overall approx. 10cm long) as well as a further area of retouching in the lower left quadrant. There are small, scattered spots of retouching across the water and a few spots to the sky. There are fine lines of craquelure to the pale blue pigment in the sky. There is a small loss of pigment to the right part of the upper edge, relating to frame rubbing. This work is in overall good condition.
